The Rhode Island public school teacher who tweeted an offer to pay someone with coronavirus to cough on President Donald Trump is now under investigation by the district following Gateway Pundit’s viral report.
A newly uncovered tweet from one of her alternate accounts also reveals serious racism directed towards black people.
As TGP previously reported, a 6th grade English as a Second Language teacher at Villa Nova Middle School in Woonsocket named Amy Bednarz used an anonymous account to offer money for someone for infecting the president.
The tweet read, “Somebody with Covid-19, I will pay you to cough on #Trump.”
Bednarz deleted her entire Twitter account minutes after Gateway Pundit contacted her public Facebook page asking her to comment for the original report.
Local media in Rhode Island soon picked up the story and School Committee Chairman Paul Bourget told Turn to 10 News that “he and superintendent Paul McGee have been discussing the tweet since Sunday night and that an investigation started Monday.”
Bourget told the station that this is a “serious matter” and that a decision about her continued employment is expected by the April 8 School Committee meeting. He also said that the investigation is ongoing as they are working to get “concrete evidence and a concrete determination.”
As we previously reported, Bednarz posted about her employment on the Twitter account, as well as photos of her cat.
The previous main photo on the account also just-so-happened to be of Bednarz.
Rhode Island Education Commissioner Angelica Infante-Green responded to an aggregated version of the Gateway Pundit’s report on another website, saying that “it is unprofessional and sends the wrong message during a time when our whole education community is setting a national example. This is not acceptable and certainly not representative of the overwhelming majority of RI teachers.”

When Bednarz isn’t calling for biological terrorism, she also has a bad habit of harassing school choice advocates on social media, including threatening the children of Keri Rodriguez, the president of the National Parents Union.
Bednarz’ hostility towards Rodriguez has been so severe that she wrote a blog detailing her experiences with the teacher — which included threats against her family and repeatedly calling her on the telephone.

Bednarz is notorious for her abuse among the school choice crowd and has also used the accounts “@teacher_ell” and “@teacher_this,” according to Corey A. DeAngelis, the Director of School Choice at the Reason Foundation. The teacher even unwisely used her Facebook photo as her main photo on one of the other accounts that she used to harass people.
Shockingly, Bednarz tweeted that “black folks love to be victims.”
According to Great Schools, 10% of the students at Villa Nova Middle School are black.
In a 2019 tweet, Bednarz wrote that it was her first year teaching 6th grade. She was working at an elementary school in Massachusetts in 2018.
The accounts were littered with hateful and bitter anti-Trump and anti-Republican partisan political messaging.
Bednarz also has a “professional” account with her real name, “@amybbednarz.”
The teacher previously worked as an ELL teacher in the Brockton, Southbridge and Fall River public school districts in Massachusetts. She is currently listed on the faculty list for Villa Nova, though her name is misspelled in the directory.
The Gateway Pundit has reached out to Bednarz, as well as Villa Nova Middle School administrators, for comment and will update this article if any are provided.
