Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin Moves Tax Day from April 15 to July 15

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin moved Tax Day this year from April 15th to July 15th at the president’s direction.

All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments.

This follows the economic crash due to the coronavirus panic.

As of Friday morning 3-20-2020:
** There are 14,371 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the US.
** There are 217 deaths blamed on the coronavirus.
** The current mortality rate from confirmed cases is 1.5%
** There are no official numbers that include the number of citizens who had the virus but were not sick enough to seek medical attention.
** There are an estimated 22,000 flu deaths and 36 million cases in the US each year.
