Rolling Stones Postpone North America ‘No Filter’ Tour Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

Legendary rockers the Rolling Stones have postponed their North American ‘No Filter’ tour due to the Wuhan coronavirus COVID-19, the band announced Tuesday. The 15 date tour was scheduled to start on May 8 in San Diego and finish in Atlanta on July 9 with shows in the U.S. and Canada. The tour dates have not been rescheduled. Ticket holders are advised to hold on to their tickets and await further announcements.

The Stones, founded in 1962, are one of the longest lasting and greatest rock and roll bands from the 1960s with three founding members still touring: Mick Jagger, 76; Keith Richards, 76; and Charlie Watts, 78. Ronnie Wood, 72, joined the band in 1975. The age and health histories of the band members put them at high risk for the coronavirus. Many of their Boomer generation fans are also in the high risk category, though the Stones’ fan base spans all generations.
