House Speaker Pelosi
The House on Friday passed the mammoth $2 trillion Coronavirus relief bill — the largest in US history.
Rep. Massie (R-KY) tried to force a floor vote because he objected to the wasteful spending in the bill.
Massie said the massive stimulus bill would cost each American citizen $17,500 and demanded a roll call vote rather than a voice vote.
$2 trillion (Congress)
+$4 trillion (Fed & Treasury)
———————————
$6 trillion stimulus$6 trillion divided by 350 million citizens = $17,000 per citizen
times a family of 4
=$68,000 per family of new national debt and dollar devaluation in this stimulus.
not a good deal

Not enough people rose to be counted for a roll call vote.
Massie asks for recorded vote. But not enough people rose to be counted. That blocked Massie. House passes bill without a roll call vote

Massie got blocked by Rep. Brown.
The Hse ok’d coronavirus bill via voice vote. Massie tried to get a roll call vote. Thomas Massie objected and asked for a roll call vote on grounds that a quorum wasn’t present. Dem MD Rep Brown presided & said a quorum was present. That blocked Massie. Bill passed by voice vote
