“The framers recognized that in removing a sitting president, we would be acting against not only the officeholder, but also the voters who entrusted him with that decision,” Collins said.
But the Senator from Maine just had to take a jab at President Trump.
“It was wrong for President Trump to mention former Vice President Biden on that phone call, and it was wrong for him to ask a foreign country to investigate a political rival.”
Susan Collins blasted House Democrats and said “article one doesn’t even attempt to assert the President committed a crime.”
