House Dems and Manhattan DA Cy Vance are gunning for President Trump’s financial records.
The House and Cy Vance’s office on Wednesday filed briefs with the Supreme Court seeking access to Trump’s tax records.
The Supreme Court in December agreed to hear three cases over President Trump’s financial records this year, setting up a historic legal showdown.
President Trump’s lawyers asked the Supreme Court to hear two cases involving subpoenas issued by Democrat congressional investigators seeking the President’s tax returns and financial records from his accounting firm Mazar’s USA.
One case was brought by various committees led by House Democrats.
The other case was brought by crooked Manhattan DA Cy Vance for potential violations New York state law.
The House on Wednesday filed a 108-page brief with the Supreme Court arguing in favor of its subpoenas for access to Trump’s personal financial records.
New York feds on Wednesday filed an 65-page brief seeking enforcement of subpoenas for Trump’s financials as part of its investigation into ‘potential’ financial and or tax crimes.

The brief argues that the president’s Article II immunity extends only to official acts and provides no immunity for private conduct, and that “immunity from investigation for private conduct runs counter to precedent, the structure and operation of the Constitution, and the bedrock principle that no person is above the law.”
The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the oral arguments for both cases involving the request for Trump’s financial records for March 31, 2020.
