Defeated 2016 Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton blasted Republicans over the Senate vote to acquit President Trump on both articles of impeachment Wednesday afternoon, claiming, “We’re entering dangerous territory for our democracy.” Clinton also encouraged political vengeance on Republican senators who voted to acquit Trump.
The Senate split on party lines on the two impeachment articles with the lone exception of Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) who voted to convict Trump on the first charge of abuse of power but voted to acquit on the second charge of obstructing Congress. The votes were 52-48 and 53-47 in favor of acquittal. A two-thirds guilty vote was need to convict.

Clinton colluded with and paid foreign operatives to sabotage Trump’s campaign, transition and presidency by falsely smearing him as a Russian agent who colluded with Russian President Vladimir Putin to steal the 2016 presidential election from her.
Clinton is married to former President Bill Clinton and went through his 1999 impeachment trial in which he was acquitted on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice committed while in office. Clinton launched her own political career soon after with a successful run for the U.S. Senate in New York in the 2000 election while still First Lady.
