GRAB THE TISSUES: President Trump Scores Home Run at Super Bowl with Beautiful Alice Johnson Ad — Reuniting Families

President Donald J. Trump scored a home run at the Super Bowl on Sunday with his beautiful Alice Johnson ad.

The Trump team told the story of Alice Johnson, a 63-year old grandmother who was given a life sentence for non-violent drug offenses in the 1990s. Kim Kardashian, who was crucial in pushing for clemency in Johnson’s case, and criminal justice reform in general, was able to catch President Trump’s attention and secure clemency for Johnson.

The White House statement on Johnson’s release, according to Business Insider.

“Ms. Johnson has accepted responsibility for her past behavior and has been a model prisoner over the past two decades. Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates,” the White House statement said. “While this Administration will always be very tough on crime, it believes that those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance

After being informed of her impending release, Johnson was elated.

“I’m still waiting to exhale!” she said in an email from prison. “I’m hanging in here and won’t let go until I walk out of these doors!”

“I am free to hug my family. I am free to start over. This is the greatest day of my life. My heart is bursting with gratitude. I want to thank President Donald John Trump.”

Alice’s story might have been the one featured in the Superbowl ad, but it is one of thousands of stories of families being reunited, thanks to president Trump’s criminal justice reform efforts.  President Trump reformed the former policy that put more punishment on non-violent drug offenders than violent criminals. Most all recent presidents talked about it. President Trump is the ONLY one who got it done!
