President Trump commuted former Illinois Governor Rod “Blago” Blagojevich’s sentence on Tuesday.
Blago was prosecuted and convicted for trying to sell Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat.
Blago was released from prison Tuesday evening after serving more than 7 years of his 14 year prison sentence.
In his first interview at the Denver Airport Blago thanked President Trump and noted how Democrats “don’t treat him very good.”
Blago, a lifelong Democrat, then declared his new party affiliation.
“He’s [Trump] got a obviously a big fan in me. If you’re asking what my party affiliation is, I’m a Trumpocrat.”
Blago also railed against the corrupt justice system and said he wants to see the people who locked him up be held accountable.
