Former Illinois Governor Rod “Blago” Blagojevich spoke at a press conference Wednesday afternoon in front of his home in Chicago after President Trump commuted his prison sentence.
Blago was prosecuted, convicted and sentenced to 14 years in prison for trying to sell Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat.
President Trump commuted Blago’s sentence after he served more than 7 years in prison.
Blago thanked President Trump again Wednesday in a presser.
“We want to express our most profound and everlasting gratitude to President Trump. How do you properly thank someone who’s given you back the freedom that was stolen from you?” Blago said.
“President Trump didn’t have to do this…President Trump is a man who is tough and outspoken, but he also has a kind heart,” he added.

President Trump blasted “Comey and gang” again on Wednesday as Blago was speaking at his presser.
TRUMP: Rod Blagojevich did not sell the Senate seat. He served 8 years in prison, with many remaining. He paid a big price. Another Comey and gang deal! Thank you to @LisaMarieBoothe who really “gets” what’s going on!

Blago was imprisoned by three Deep State crooks prominent in the fraudulent Mueller Special Counsel: Robert Mueller, James Comey and Patrick Fitzgerald.
Robert Mueller was the Director of the FBI when Blago was wiretapped by the FBI in 2008 and ultimately sentenced to prison in 2012.
Patrick Fitzgerald, the US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois indicted Blago in 2008 and went after him with a vengeance whilst protecting then-president elect Barack Obama.
Fitzgerald is godfather to Comey’s children and Comey appointed him to be a special prosecutor to investigate the Valerie Plame affair in 2003.
In other words, it’s the same corrupt swamp cabal at work politically targeting people for ruin with excessive sentences.
Barack Obama came out of this scandal unscathed even though he was involved in the effort to sell his vacant senate seat.
Obama’s senior advisor David Axelrod admitted Obama was in contact with Blago’s office about his vacant senate seat.
“I know he’s talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names, many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them,” Axelrod said in November of 2008 in a media interview.
Axelrod then walked back his statements to cover for Obama and the FBI hid the “302” report of Obama’s interview about Blagojevich.
