Grassley Defends Deep State CIA Snitch – ‘Whistleblower Followed the Law and Deserves to Be Heard, Protected’

Chuck Grassley

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said on Tuesday in a statement that the Deep State CIA ‘whistleblower’ followed the law and should be heard.

Grassley also called for the CIA spy’s identity to be concealed and scolded the media for reporting on the snitch’s identity.

So much for the Republican leaders in the Senate defending President Trump against the continuation of the attempted coup.

Grassley’s full statement:

“This person appears to have followed the whistleblower protection laws and ought to be heard out and protected. We should always work to respect whistleblowers’ requests for confidentiality. Any further media reports on the whistleblower’s identity don’t serve the public interest—even if the conflict sells more papers or attracts clicks.

“No one should be making judgments or pronouncements without hearing from the whistleblower first and carefully following up on the facts. Uninformed speculation wielded by politicians or media commentators as a partisan weapon is counterproductive and doesn’t serve the country.

“When it comes to whether someone qualifies as a whistleblower, the distinctions being drawn between first- and second-hand knowledge aren’t legal ones. It’s just not part of whistleblower protection law or any agency policy. Complaints based on second-hand information should not be rejected out of hand, but they do require additional leg work to get at the facts and evaluate the claim’s credibility.

“As I said last week, inquiries that put impeachment first and facts last don’t weigh very credibly. Folks just ought to be responsible with their words.”

Grassley has been a lead advocate for whistleblowers’ rights and protections during his time as a US Senator, however, he is missing a key point — the whistleblower rules were recently changed *because of the anti-Trump complaint* from the CIA spy.

The Deep State Intelligence Community secretly gutted the whistleblower form and now allows the complaint to be filed with second-hand knowledge — previously, whistleblowers were required to be eyewitnesses or to have first-hand, direct knowledge of alleged misconduct.

So now Grassley is encouraging any anonymous Deep State spy to file a whistleblower complaint against the President based on hearsay and gossip AND hide behind anonymity because of the Whistleblower Protection Act.

President Trump confirmed on Monday to reporters that the White House is ‘trying to find out’ the identity of the CIA spy who filed a whistleblower complaint against him about his phone call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Just like Mark Levin said, “too bad, pal!” we will find out the identity of this CIA snitch who was most likely planted inside the White House by John Brennan to file a bogus complaint against Trump.
