Breaking: Schedule of Secretive Impeachment Inquiry Depositions Leaked
The schedule for upcoming depositions in the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump’s dealings with Ukraine has been leaked by an official involved in the probe.
Both current and former aides will be appearing at the closed sessions.
According to a report from The Hill, Ambassador Philip Reeker, who currently serves as Acting Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, will be appearing in a closed session on Saturday.
On Monday, Charles Kupperman, former deputy assistant to the president for national security affairs, will be appearing, according to their source.
Timothy Morrison, special assistant to the president and national security council senior director for Europe and Russia, will be deposed on Thursday.
The Hill reports that Morrison was mentioned during diplomat William Taylor’s testimony as someone who may be able to corroborate his claims, specifically that Gordon Sondland, ambassador to the European Union, had discussed a quid pro quo with Andriy Yermak, a representative for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Reeker and Morrison were originally supposed to appear this week, but the hearings were rescheduled due to Rep. Elijah Cummings’ death.
