Fox News announced Friday that Shepard Smith is leaving the network.

The Never Trumper worked for Fox News for 23 years.

“This is my last newscast here. Thank you for watching today and over the decades as I traveled to many of your communities and anchored this program, Studio B, and Fox report, plus endless marathon hours of breaking news,” Shepard Smith said.

“Even in our currently polarized nation, it’s my hope that the facts will win the day, that the truth will always matter, that journalism and journalist will thrive,” he added.

WATCH:

Last month Shepard Smith and Tucker Carlson got into a very public argument over Judge Napolitano, another rabid Trump hater.

Shepard Smith was upset that former US Attorney Joe diGenova called Napolitano a “fool” while appearing as a guest on an episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“Last night on this network, during primetime opinion programming, a partisan guest who supports President Trump was asked about Judge Napolitano’s legal assessment, and when he was asked, he said, unchallenged, Judge Napolitano is a fool. Attacking our colleague who’s here to offer legal assessments on our air in our work home is repugnant,” Smith moaned. The boring host continued on to list people he had found that agree with Napolitano.

In response, Carlson brought diGenova back on his show where he destroyed Napolitano and took another swipe at Smith.
