Perth, Australia: A vegan woman sued her neighbors over the smell of barbecued meat and fish coming from their backyards and now she’s getting roasted in return.
Cilla Carden is a vegan who is trying to use the court system to stop her neighbors from cooking meat.
Ms. Carden claimed that her neighbors are making her life a living hell because they are barbecuing meat, smoking cigarettes and allowing their children to bounce basketballs next to her home.
“Cilla Carden has a problem with her neighbours cooking meat on their BBQ, because she’s a vegan. Recently taking them to the Supreme Court! Don’t let Cilla destroy a good old Aussie tradition, join us for a community BBQ, and help Cilla Carden GET SOME PORK ON HER FORK,” the event invite read. “BYO hotdog buns, p.s. NO VEGANS”
The event page stressed that this is a “peaceful protest” and that no one is permitted to enter Ms. Carden’s property.
The barbecue is scheduled for October 19.
The individual who created the event page is an animal rights activist so people are suspicious of planned BBQ.
