Woman Loses Her Hair After Using ‘Tampered Conditioner’ Bought From Walmart
A young Wisconsin woman lost huge clumps of hair after she used ‘tampered’ conditioner she bought from Walmart.
This is all part of a disturbing trend of people tampering with ice cream, mouth wash and other items at stores.
Ashley Rose Robinson believes the hair conditioner she bought from Walmart was tampered with and contained ‘Nair’ which is a hair removal cream.
The 21-year-old woman said she purchased the hair conditioner from a Walmart in New Richmond, Wisconsin on July 23rd and washed and conditioned her hair as part of her normal Sunday night routine.
Robinson said she noticed a terrible smell while she used the hair conditioner and noticed huge clumps of her hair falling out after she towel-dried her hair.
“I have to share bc tonight has been very, very traumatic for me. You don’t think to check your shampoo or conditioner once you buy it, well tonight that changed for me,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
“I just went on with my normal Sunday routine got in shower shampoo, and conditioned my hair got out something was different and didn’t smell the greatest. I carried on sat down for a bit and then decided to go blow dry my hair, I took my hair out of the towel and it smelt terrible, got back in the shower used my other shampoo and rubbed that in, as I took my hands out of my hair it was covered in hair and just kept on falling out.”
Robinson said that she ended up going to the emergency room to make sure she wasn’t suffering from dangerous chemical burns.
She ended up shaving the remaining hair off and posted a very emotional warning to her Facebook page.
“My hair was finally the way I loved it to be and now it’s gone. Picture[s] do not do it justice or show the 100% damage it has caused me. My heart hurts terribly I don’t even have any words to say to anyone as I just can’t get anything out but that it hurts and has been scary,” she wrote, adding,”My only intentions for sharing is to prevent it from happening to anyone else.”
Walmart is reviewing security camera footage and working with law enforcement to find out who tampered with the hair conditioner.
