Obama Trolls Trump? Ex-President Posts Photo Holding Personalized US Women’s Soccer World Cup Championship Jersey

Former President Barack Obama posted a photo to Instagram and Twitter Wednesday morning of himself (as always) holding a U.S. women’s soccer team World Cup championship jersey emblazoned with his name.

Obama wrote, “Proud to rep America’s best team! Congrats @USWNT and thanks for being such a strong inspiration for women and girls—and everybody—all across the country.”

The U.S. women’s soccer team, led by Megan Rapinoe, has disrespected President Donald Trump, shunning in profane language a White House visit in favor of invitations by Democrats in Congress, and dissed the flag during their World Cup championship run.

The success of the team has been marred by its progressive politics that have–as progressives do–alienated half the country.

Former President Obama is exploiting this division with his tweet Wednesday morning.

President Trump, who has sparred online with Rapinoe, magnanimously tweeted congratulations to the team upon its 2-0 victory over the Netherlands in the World Cup final on Sunday.

New York City honored the team with a ticker tape parade Wednesday morning.
