President Trump’s re-election campaign is crushing it.
The fund-raising juggernaut is hauling in cash from every conceivable avenue — including plastic straws.
As of July 29, the campaign has raked in more than $45o,000 selling 10-packs of straws for $15 a pop. The straws first went on sale July 19, which means in just 10 days there have been more than 30,000 orders for the not-so-politically-correct items.
Politico finds that “sinister.”
In a piece headlined “Inside Donald Trump’s ‘brilliant and sinister’ merchandising operation,” Politico writes that the sale of the straws — derided by liberals and currently being banned in Democrat-controlled cities — was the brainchild of campaign manager Brad Parscale’s wife.
Brad Parscale had just boarded a Jet Blue flight earlier this month when the paper straw he was using ripped in half.
As he tried to keep his iced tea from spilling onto his suit, the annoyed Trump campaign manager tweeted that he was “so over paper straws.” Prodded by his wife not to leave it at that, Parscale emailed his staff from the air with an idea: Let’s sell plastic Trump straws.
In short order, the campaign sent an email to supporters with the subject line, “Making straws great again.” By the time Parscale landed in Florida, the presidential straws were already in production and an advertising campaign was up and running. The first batch was sold out within hours.

Trump’s campaign team has tapped into the desires of the president’s supporters.
One big seller is the “Pencil-Neck Adam Schiff” T-shirt.
“He spent two years knowingly and unlawfully lying and leaking. He should be forced to resign from Congress! Everyone should buy a Pencil-Neck Adam Schiff shirt today!” the campaign website says.
The site sells “women for Trump” shirts and “Latinos for Trump” hats, along with tons of other stuff.
The store also sells a shirt with a tweet from Trump that says “WITCH HUNT!”
