Kids cartoon ‘My Little Pony’ unveiled a lesbian pony couple in its upcoming episode in the final season which will air Saturday.
The lesbian ponies are named “Aunt Holiday” and “Auntie Lofty” and will be introduced as caretakers of the young pony, “Scootaloo.”

The New York Daily News reported:
According to Vogel, who’s gay, the idea for the aunts was a collaboration between himself and showrunners Nicole Dubuc and Josh Haber, BuzzFeed News reported.
“Nicole and I thought this was a great opportunity to organically introduce an LGBTQ couple in the series, and we asked [toy manufacturer] Hasbro and they approved it,” he said, adding that the idea had always be in his mind.
“With Josh and Nicole running the final season together, it was something we all wanted to do — bring this out couple into the final season and make them ‘officially’ a part of the MLP world.”
