BREAKING: Press Secretary Sarah Sanders Leaving White House at End of Month

President Trump announced Thursday afternoon that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month.

TRUMP: After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas. She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas – she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!”

Sarah Sanders was the third woman to be a White House Press Secretary and took the position after Sean Spicer resigned in July of 2017.

Sanders initially covered for Spicer while he served on Naval Reserve duty then went on to fill the position as White House Press Secretary full time.

Sarah Sanders responded to President Trump Thursday afternoon and said she’s grateful for the opportunity to serve.

“The most important job I’ll ever have is being a mom to my kids and it’s time for us to go home. Thank you Mr. President!” Sarah Sanders said.
