You Won’t See This In The MSM: VP Pence Pulls Motorcade Over To Visit With School Children

If Joe Biden had done it, the video would have been on ABC and NBC and CBS and CNN and MSNBC for two days straight.

Vice President Mike Pence — who’s hardly ever in the news — was driving along in Waxhew, N.C., on his way to an event. Along the route, some children had come out onto a school’s front yard to see the passing motorcade.

“On our way through Waxhaw, NC we had some special guests along the motorcade route,” Pence wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. “Enjoyed meeting the great teachers and students from Big Blue Marble Academy! Thanks for the warm welcome!”

Now, Waxhew — in the far southwest of North Carolina — doesn’t get a lot of high-profile visitors. The 11.5 square-mile town boasts just 14,194 resident, according to a 2016 estimate. The town takes its name from a Native American group known either the Wysacky or the Waxhaws.

Waxhaw’s History, the town’s Facebook page, touted the veep’s visit.

Waxhaw history is made each and every day. On May 22, 2019, Vice President Mike Pence pulled over his motorcade to talk to daycare kids in Waxhaw.Special thanks to Debbi Michaels for the picture.

But Google “Mike Pence” and “Waxhew” and you get just four hits in the last 24 hours.

One is a link to a post. The wags on the site pointed out a few things about the photo.

“I immediately notice that he isnt sniffing their hair,” one redditor wrote. “I immediately notice he’s at least a foot away from them. And in FRONT of them where they can see him!” wrote another.

And like the poster said: “Won’t see this in the MSM.”
