Trump-Pence Reelection Campaign Kickoff Rally Announced for 20,000 Seat Amway Center in Orlando, FL

President Donald Trump will officially kickoff his reelection bid with a huge MAGA rally at the 20,000 seat Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on June 18. Trump will be accompanied by First Lady Melania, Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence, according an announcement by his campaign

The Amway Center, located in the heart of Orlando, is home to the Orlando Magic NBA team and the site of concerts by acts from Paul McCartney to Arianna Grande.

Trump last held a campaign rally in Florida on May 8 in the Panhandle city of Panama City Beach, drawing not only locals but supporters from Alabama and Georgia for a crowd of around 12,000. The Orlando rally will be able to draw Trump supporters from across Central Florida, including the important I-4 corridor.

Purple state Florida is key to Trump’s reelection in 2020 with 29 Electoral College votes. The state has trended GOP, barely, in recent statewide elections. Trump won Florida in 2016 by a small margin, Gov. Ron DeSantis squeaked out a win last year by 0.4 percent of the vote, while Sen. Rick Scott edged out incumbent Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson. Barack Obama narrowly won Florida in 2008 and 2012. The only statewide office held by Democrats is Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried who won last year.

A recent statewide Florida poll showed Trump beating every Democrat contender, but with a margin of error lead over former Vice President Joe Biden.
