James O’Keefe and Project Veritas Action are now 6-0 as defendants in civil court, as a federal judge has dismissed the lawsuit filed against them by Shirley Teter. Teter was claiming that she had been defamed in one of the Project Veritas Action videos after anti-Trump protest organizer Scott Foval explained that she was a plant sent into Trump events.
The video was part of the Foval and Bob Creamer investigation. Her story appears at the 12:50 mark in this video:
O’Keefe’s attorney, Jamie Dean, successfully argued that Teter’s claim did not prove malice on the part of O’Keefe and Project Veritas Action, and thus the videos portrayed the subjects accurately.
VERITAS WINS IN DEFAMATION LAWSUIT IN FEDERAL COURT. Federal judge throws out lawsuit during trial in stunning fashion before it reaches jury. Jamie Dean, who is blind (so is justice), gives stirring defense. Transcript forthcoming! pic.twitter.com/uXkmLmfsaZ

O’Keefe then proceeded to call out mainstream media that mis-characterized the situation:
As fellow journalists you must agree that the federal judge throwing the case out this morning – and our stirring defense of the 1st amendment – is more newsworthy than the filing of trumped-up claims against us. WILL YOU FOLLOW UP? https://t.co/jQSWZDFn7f

The judge just threw the case out, ruling that the plaintiff did not have the requisite evidence to support her defamation claim. Therefore the judgement is entered in favor of Project Veritas. WILL YOU FOLLOW UP? Or will you only report on the bogus trumped-up civil claims? https://t.co/XlWi1tPwwF
