Blackface is the new Planking.
For the second time in a week, police were called in suburban Chicago over reports of students in blackface.
One week after a blackface incident roiled Homewood-Flossmoor High School (pictured above), officials in another south suburban district are investigating reports of white students painting their faces black.
Lincoln-Way High School District 210 spokeswoman Jen Hannon confirmed Monday that a school resource officer had been in contact with Mokena police about a report the department had received about students wearing blackface in public.
Wearing blackface, while potentially incredibly offensive, is not illegal. Thankfully the police agreed.
While police quickly determined that nothing criminal had taken place and closed their investigation into the incident, Vaccaro said he shared details of the report with a school resource officer from Lincoln-Way High School District 210 who contacted the department seeking information on the situation.
Meanwhile, nobody gives a rat’s ass about these students in blackface who perpetrate extreme acts of violence.
