In 2011, shortly before he bowed out of the 2012 presidential election race, businessman Donald Trump ranted about China’s exports flooding America and what he would do about the trade deficit.
Donald Trump told the Las Vegas crowd,
“So easy. I’d drop a 25 percent tax on China. And I said to somebody it’s really the messenger. The messenger is important. I could have one man say, (in high voice) ‘We’re gonna tax you 25 percent.’ And I could say, (in deep voice) ‘Listen, you motherfuckers, we’re gonna tax you 25 percent.’”
The crowd loved it.
Now this…
On Friday President Trump threatened a 25 percent tax on $200 billion worth of Chinese exports.
President Trump does not mess around.
