The directors and writers of HBO’s epic fantasy Game of Thrones really phoned it in over the eighth and final season.
By now you know how the show wrapped up (and if you don’t, you’ll know by day’s end — whether you want to or not).
You may have liked it, you may have hated it. But one thing is clear, though: The editors must’ve all asleep throughout the season.
Eagle-eyed fans of the show spotted yet another major screw-up in the series finale on Sunday.
In the episode, titled “The Iron Throne,” some viewers spotted a water bottle on the ground next to the leg of character Samwell Tarly, played by John Bradley.

The scene came at about 46 minutes in if you want to find it.
People on the internet had a field day.
Anyone defending this final season can’t deny it’s the laziest and most rushed of them all. In more ways than one. Clearly.

Someone said they saw a second bottle.
It's not just there, I actually found the second water bottle next to Ser Davos. #GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/rZHqiWmDU4

The blunder followed another in which fans spotted a coffee cup that looked like a Starbuck’s to-go cup on a table where Daenerys Targaryen was sitting.
The directors of “Game of Thrones” are so meticulous that they refused to use artificial lighting on the series’ biggest battle to date, which drew massive complaints from viewers who found episode two — “The Long Night” — so dark they couldn’t see what was going on.
But they missed one big detail in episode three, which is titled “The Last Of The Starks.” Make that “The Last Of The Starbucks.”
At one point during the show, which aired Sunday on HBO, Daenerys is seated at a table, sipping wine. Attentive viewers, though, saw what appears to be a coffee cup from Starbucks — and they went on social media to espresso a latte of anger.
The internet piled on.

Daenerys is, of course, known as Khaleesi, but other nicknames, too, like the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms. That prompted one wag to write on Twitter: “Daenerys Targaryen mother of dragons, the unburnt, the breaker of chains, the drinker of Starbucks.”

There were, as always, a few conspiracy theories.
