Fake Indian and 2020 Dem hopeful Elizabeth Warren on Tuesday called for impeachment proceedings against President Trump from the Senate floor.
The Massachusetts Senator cited Mueller’s report and argued the information provided by the special counsel “clearly constitutes adequate information to begin an impeachment proceeding in the House of Representatives.”
“We took an oath to protect and serve the Constitution of the United States of America, and the way we do that is we begin impeachment proceedings now against this president,” Warren said.
The Democrats have nothing to offer American citizens so all they do is attack President Trump — they have no message going into the 2020 election and the economy is roaring so they know they have no fighting chance to beat an incumbent when unemployment numbers are low.
Elizabeth Warren then cited a hit piece from the Washington Post that reported hundreds of former prosecutors believe Trump would have been indicted if he weren’t the president.
“That’s over 600 former prosecutors saying that if we were talking about anyone other than POTUS, they’d be prosecuted for obstruction…the only mechanism to hold POTUS accountable and to ensure he’s not above the law is for Congress to initiate impeachment proceedings,” Warren said.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has stayed away from beginning impeachment proceedings (so far) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday that it’s “case closed” with the end of Mueller’s probe.
