NCAA Champions UVA Declines White House Invitation Following Dem-supported Petition
The University of Virginia defeated Texas Tech to win the NCAA basketball championship this year.
But the Virginia team won’t be going to the White House.
The team declined their invitation to meet with President Trump.
The University of Virginia announced their decision on Friday.
"We have received inquiries about a visit to the White House. With several players either pursuing pro opportunities or moving on from UVA, it would be difficult, if not impossible to get everyone back together. We would have to respectfully decline an invitation.” – Tony Bennett
