Trump’s former lawyer-turned-rat Michael Cohen walked back parts of his guilty plea in a 36-minute recorded phone call to left-wing actor Tom Arnold.
Tom Arnold, a rabid Trump hater who first spoke with Cohen in June, gave the recording to The Wall Street Journal for review.
“You would think that you would have folks, you know, stepping up and saying, ‘You know what, this guy’s lost everything,’” Cohen said during the March 25 call, recorded without his knowledge by Tom Arnold.
Cohen, who was convicted for lying to Congress, then slammed Trump and blamed the president for his problems.
“My family’s happiness, and my law license,” Mr. Cohen continued. “I lost my business…my insurance, my bank accounts, all for what? All for what? Because Trump, you know, had an affair with a porn star? That’s really what this is about.”
Lanny Davis, Cohen’s Clinton-linked lawyer, said: “Michael has taken responsibility for his crimes and will soon report to prison to serve his sentence. While he cannot change the past, he is making every effort to reclaim his life and do right by his family and country. He meant no offense by his statements.”
Cohen walked back parts of his guilty plea related to tax evasion and the home equity line of credit on his home – Cohen pleaded guilty to 8 charges brought by thugs in the SDNY and also admitted to 5 counts of tax evasion related to his taxi medallion business.
“There is no tax evasion,” Cohen said on the call. “And the HELOC? I have an 18% loan-to-value on my home. How could there be a HELOC issue? How? Right?…It’s a lie.”
Cohen claimed on the call that he pleaded guilty because “they had me on campaign finance” and prosecutors were gunning for his wife.
The campaign finance violation Cohen pleaded to was actually a non-crime.
The truth is Michael Cohen’s home and office would not have been raided last April if not for his association with Donald Trump.
Rosenstein authorized Mueller’s thugs to raid Cohen’s home and seized countless documents and emails going back several years in order to take down President Trump.
Clinton fixer Lanny Davis swooped in and became Cohen’s lawyer last summer — Cohen then began attacking President Trump and called him a “racist” and a “con man.”
Michael Cohen is scheduled to report to prison on May 6th to begin his 36 month sentence.
