Major Backlash After Michelle Obama Compares President Trump to “Divorced Dad” (VIDEO)

Former First Lady Michelle Obama suffered major backlash after she compared President Trump to a “divorced dad.”

How classy of Michelle to demean divorced dads — many of whom are hard working and take care of their children.

“Sometimes you spend the weekend with a divorced dad. That feels like fun but then you get sick,” Michelle Obama told Stephen Colbert. “That is what America is going through. We’re kind of living with divorced dad.”

Michelle Obama is completely removed from reality. America is thriving under President Trump with record low unemployment and record GDP.

President Trump’s approval rating is several points higher than her husband Barack Obama’s ever was at any point in his presidency as Trump heads into his third year.

Michelle Obama suffered backlash from social media users and mainstream conservative voices.

Fox News host Sean Hannity said Tuesday that Obama’s comments were “demeaning and insulting.”

Geraldo Rivera agreed with Hannity, but defended Michelle Obama’s comment as a “rare misstep.”

“She’s equating, she’s reduced us to a sexist stereotype with a bad parent who gives candy and lets the kids watch too much TV because we have a guilty conscience about the breakup of the marriage. I think it’s a rare misstep though Sean, in fairness,” Geraldo said.

“No passes here on that,” Hannity said.

Fox News guest Tammy Bruce blasted Michelle Obama for using gender stereotypes to insult men and women.

“The problem here is it’s not just insulting to men and for every woman and man out in that audience who didn’t quite know why she was insulting them but it relies also on the other side of the coin which is the gender stereotype of women that all women are supposed to be either great mothers or only women can raise children or only women can be good parents,” Tammy Bruce said.

Tomi Lahren pointed out the double standard and liberal hypocrisy.

“Can you imagine if a conservative would compare anyone to a single mom in a derogatory fashion? There would be outrage … but because she has the last name of Obama she can get away with it,” Tomi Lahren said on Fox & Friends.
