Former First Lady Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance at the Grammys on Sunday and the audience clapped like seals.
Michelle Obama shared the stage with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez during the 61st annual Grammy awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California — Obama towered over the other ladies in an ill-fitting shiny ensemble.
“Whether we like country or rap or rock, music helps us share ourselves: our dignity and sorrows, our hopes and joys. It allows us to hear one another, to invite each other in,” Michelle Obama said.
Watch the audience go crazy and clap like trained seals over Michelle Obama.
