Trump to Pelosi: ‘We Will Not Cave!’

President Trump has a message for Speaker Pelosi on the border wall-government shutdown negotiations: “We will not Cave!”

Trump made the bold declaration Thursday morning, the day after Pelosi canceled her invitation to Trump to give the State of the Union Address on January 29, saying she would reschedule the speech when the government reopens. Late Wednesday night Trump announced he would not give the speech at an alternative location and would wait to give it in the House chamber after the shutdown ends.

“Nancy just said she “just doesn’t understand why?” Very simply, without a Wall it all doesn’t work. Our Country has a chance to greatly reduce Crime, Human Trafficking, Gangs and Drugs. Should have been done for decades. We will not Cave!”

Earlier Thursday Trump reiterated his new wall funding slogan, “Without a Wall there cannot be safety and security at the Border or for the U.S.A. BUILD THE WALL AND CRIME WILL FALL!”

Trump’s comment about Pelosi is in apparent reference to her comments this morning, as reported here by Yahoo, “Nancy Pelosi says she doesnt understand why Wilbur Ross doesnt understand the hardship of workers who are missing their paychecks. “Is this the ‘Let them eat cake’ kind of attitude?””

CNBC reported the context of Ross’ remark which was he thought workers should get loans against their ‘guaranteed’ federal backpay when the government reopens.
