Tear Gas Deployed in Paris as “Yellow Vest” Protests Enter Week 8 (VIDEOS)

French police deployed tear gas as they clashed with “yellow vest” protesters Saturday.

The “yellow vest” protests have entered week 8 and show no signs of slowing down.

In late November, thousands of “yellow vest” protesters marched in Paris to protest a gas tax hike and demanded French President Emmanuel Macron resign.

The Champs Elysees burned and French police used tear gas and water cannons against the protesters to get the situation under control.

Macron’s popularity has plummeted as of late. A recent opinion poll shows only 26% of French people have a favorable opinion of Macron due to the new gas tax hikes.

On Saturday, a brawl broke out between protesters and police.
