SHOWDOWN: Pelosi Tells Trump He Cannot Give State of the Union Address From House Chamber Until Govt is Open

SHOWDOWN!

President Trump notified far left Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday that he will hold the State of the Union Address in the US House of Representatives next week.

President Trump sent a letter to Pelosi on Wednesday.

Trump will deliver the address “with or without” the Speaker in attendance.

The House Speaker responded to President Trump in a letter later Wednesday and declined steps to permit the State of the Union be held in the House chamber on January 29 as scheduled.

“I am writing to inform you that the House of Representatives will not consider a concurrent resolution authorizing the President’s State of the Union address in the House Chamber until government has opened,” Pelosi wrote in the letter.

President Trump has a backup plan and will deliver the SOTU speech from somewhere outside of Washington DC, according to Fox News reporter John Roberts.
