Earlier Thursday, another fake news narrative related to the infamous Trump Tower meeting in June of 2016 blew up in the left’s face.
The Dems, led by Rep. Adam Schiff have been going crazy pushing a narrative that then-candidate Trump had foreknowledge of Don Jr.’s meeting with Russian lawyer Veselnitskaya since it was reported that Donald Trump Jr. received mysterious calls from a blocked number ahead of the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting.
“We wanted to get the phone records to determine, was Donald Trump talking to his son about this meeting,” Schiff previously told CNN.
“It’s an obvious investigative step, but one the Republicans were unwilling to take because they were afraid of where the evidence might lead.”
On Thursday, Schiff got blown out (AGAIN) when phone records provided to the Senate Intel Panel revealed the two calls were between Don Jr.’s business associates.
ABC News reported the calls to blocked numbers were between Donald Trump Jr.’s cell phone and two family friends — NASCAR CEO Brian France and real estate developer Howard Lorber, according to the sources.
President Trump reacted to the news late Thursday night in a pair of tweets. In the second tweet, Trump called for the bogus witch hunt to end.
Just out: The big deal, very mysterious Don jr telephone calls, after the innocent Trump Tower meeting, that the media & Dems said were made to his father (me), were just conclusively found NOT to be made to me. They were made to friends & business associates of Don. Really sad!
