EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Steve King Speaks to The Gateway Pundit about the NY Times Interview and Charges of Racism
The same newspaper that is spreading non-stop lies on Trump-Russia collusion published a disgusting hit piece on Rep. Steve King (R-IA) and all Trump voters on Thursday.
The goal of the article was to paint EVERY Trump supporter as an anti-immigrant racist.
The intent of the article was to smear anyone who supports a border wall on the US southern border.
But the “quote” from Rep. King by author Trip Gabriel is what got the most attention. Steve reportedly said,
“White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?” Mr. King said. “Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and our civilization?”
Of course, this caused an uproar in Washington and on all of the liberal networks — as you would expect if it were true.
King was lambasted by most every media publisher. Democrats called to remove him from all congressional committees. Republican lawmakers discussed the possibility of disciplinary action. And, of course, Trump-hating Republicans like Ben Shapiro immediately called for Steve to be censured.
Have any of these Republicans called for Rashida Tlaib to be censured for her vulgar and profane attacks on this president?
Rep. King released a statement on Friday:

Rep. King also went to the House floor and read his statement.
On Sunday The Gateway Pundit spoke with Rep. Steve King.
Rep. King is obviously very upset over the New York Times report. Steve shared his side of the story with us.
It is safe to say the liberal media and their Republican allies have the story wrong.
We cannot say much at this time — But the people who attacked Steve King do not have the story correct.
Rep. Steve King is getting the Kavanaugh treatment — guilty until proven innocent.
We plan to report more information on Monday.
