It looks like the Deep State and their media mouthpieces needed their ‘Russia’ headlines today.
On Tuesday, a US Attorney in New York charged Russian lawyer involved in the Trump Tower meeting, Natalia Veselnitskaya with obstruction of justice in an unrelated case.
Veselnitskaya represented Prevezon Holdings, a Cyprus-based real estate company in a money laundering lawsuit brought by the DOJ.
On Tuesday, the overzealous federal prosecutors in New York’s Southern District (SDNY), claimed Veselnitskaya submitted to the court an “intentionally misleading declaration in opposition to a government motion.”
According to the SDNY, Veselnitskaya’s motion, presented “supposed investigative findings by the Russian government—findings purportedly exonerating Veselnitskaya’s clients – under the false pretense that these findings had been independently drafted by the Russian government.”
Manhattan US Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said in a statement, “Fabricating evidence – submitting false and deceptive declarations to a federal judge – in an attempt to affect the outcome of pending litigation not only undermines the integrity of the judicial process, but it threatens the ability of our courts and our Government to ensure that justice is done.”
Natalia Veselnitskaya told the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday that she is on vacation and has not yet read the SDNY indictment of her for obstruction of justice.
