Since the election of Donald Trump as president the Democrat Party apparatus, liberal tech giants and establishment elites have declared an all out war on conservative voices and citizen journalists.
As we have reported numerous times over the past two years, The Gateway Pundit was the 4th most influential conservative publisher during the 2016 election as reported by Harvard University and Columbia Journalism Review. Since that time our website has been targeted by numerous forces, our Facebook traffic has gone from 33% of our traffic to 2% of our traffic. Legitimate Gateway Pundit articles are routinely shadow-banned and censored by liberal and anti-Trump establishment.
Despite the attacks our traffic continues to grow.
Several conservative publishers have closed shop since 2016. The tech giants have put them out of business. Several top conservatives are banned from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Recently a group of DC elitists formed an organization to eliminate upstart citizen journalists for good. The project is called “Newsguard” and it is a well-funded organization with the goal of propping up establishment news conglomerates and at the same time making sure any opposition publishers will be ruined financially.
Mint Press describes Newsguard as a concerted effort by the U.S. government and powerful corporations to silence online dissent within the United States and beyond.
Newsguard is the latest establishment effort to blacklist alternative voices and eliminate opposition to the mainstream narrative.
Newsguard rates publishers on their credibility based on a group of Washington elitists.
On Monday John Nolte discovered that Newsguard is listing several fake news stories as trusted news stories.
Meanwhile, Breitbart, The Drudge Report and The Gateway Pundit articles are blacklisted.
Breitbart.com reported:
NewsGuard, which is the establishment media’s latest effort to blacklist alternative media sites, is giving its sign of approval to proven hoaxes, even to stories that have been retracted.
Microsoft is so desperate to spread fake news and blacklist ideas it doesn’t like, NewsGuard is automatically included in one of its browsers.
You will find more examples below, but here is NewsGuard’s seal of approval (on the Google search page) for Rolling Stone’s 2014 hoax about a gang rape at the University of Virginia (UVA).
And here are several more complete hoaxes that Newsguard gives its seal of approval.
