White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined CBS This Morning on Friday to discuss the ongoing government shutdown.
The Trump White House has offered Democrats several options to reopen the government but Democrats went home on Friday after 4 minutes of work. President Trump skipped his Christmas vacation and is working at the White House this holiday season.
Sarah Sanders told CBS This Morning,
“We’ve made that clear to the Democrats that we’re not going to negotiate in the press but the president has been willing to negotiate on this point and the Democrats have not been willing to do anything. And that’s the sad part. They care more about keeping our borders open than keeping our government open.“
