An 8-year-old Guatemalan boy died in Customs and Border Protection custody in New Mexico very early Tuesday morning after being transferred to the hospital earlier Monday.
According to reports, the boy’s father was with him in the hospital where he was diagnosed with a cold. Doctors gave the boy amoxicillin and medication to bring his fever down then released him.
Later that night, the boy returned to the Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center with nausea and vomiting where he passed away, reported the Associated Press.
The Customs and Border Protection says the official cause of death is unknown at this time.
The unnamed 8-year-old Guatemalan boy is the second child to die this month in Customs and Border Protection custody and the Democrats are blaming the US government.
A couple weeks ago, a seven-year-old Guatemalan girl died of severe dehydration several hours after she was picked up by border patrol for crossing the border illegally.
The parents of these children are to blame, but never let a crisis go to waste, right?

The father of the Guatemalan child who died on Christmas Eve denied further medical treatment from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents after the child vomited following an initial examination from doctors. The boy’s father said his son , a spokesman from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said on a call to reporters Wednesday… A few hours after the father and boy entered the holding facility, the child started vomiting again. DHS reported — It was at this point the father declined further medical treatment for his son and told officials he “had been feeling better,” an official said.
