Photos: Media Hold Worshipful Election Eve Press Conference For Down in the Polls Robert ‘Beto’ O’Rourke

Media darling Rep. Robert ‘Beto’ O’Rourke (D-TX) who is running for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) held an election eve press conference Monday night that looked more like the media holding a campaign rally for their beloved Beto.

O’Rourke is down in the polls going into election day and is now seen as a long shot to defeat Cruz. But the media is reporting he is “within striking distance“.

Reporters posted their photos to Twitter of the rapturous scene of the media at UT El Paso where O’Rourke, accompanied by his wife, Amy, was holding a rally for his other supporters besides the media. Reporters from all over Texas, the U.S. and the world gathered around O’Rourke looking more like supporters than unbiased journalists.

Estefanía Seyffert, KTSM-TV, “This does not even begin to show you the massive amount of media from across the country that have arrived in El Paso to cover ’s campaign watch party tomorrow.”

Jorge Salgado, El Paso, Inc, “Current media situation at , waiting for to arrive before his event at Magoffin Auditorium – at UTEP Magoffin Auditorium

Teresa Woodard, WFAA-TV, “Just some of the reporters & photographers waiting for to do one last media Q&A before his final rally on the UTEP campus.

Kailani Koenig, MSNBC, “On Election Eve, faces a gigantic crowd of reporters before his final rally of the camapign in his hometown of El Paso.
