Honduran Migrants Break Through Border Fence in Tijuana, Throw Rocks at US Border Patrol (VIDEOS)

Hundreds of Honduran migrants tried to storm the US border on Sunday at the San Ysidro port of entry.

There are now 5,000 to 6,000 illegal caravan migrants in Tijuana, Mexico waiting to seek asylum into the United States.

According to estimates 500 of those migrants are criminals.


A few dozen military-aged male Hondurans broke the border fence in Tijuana at the San Ysidro port of entry and were eventually repelled by tear gas.

The defiant migrants threw rocks at border patrol agents and scattered after pepper balls and tear gas were deployed.

The United States is teargassing the migrants to move them back to camp, reports Epoch Times.

Wendy Fry, a reporter on the Mexican side of the border at the San Ysidro port of entry said migrants were pushed back and scattered after being hit with tear gas and flash bangs.


UPDATE: Today, several migrants threw projectiles at the agents in San Diego. Border Patrol agents deployed tear gas to dispel the group because of the risk to agents’ safety. Several agents were hit by the projectiles. The situation is evolving and a statement is forthcoming.

The US Customs and Border Protection in San Diego, California announced Sunday morning that the San Ysidro port of entry going both northbound and southbound have been closed due to multiple planned demonstrations on both sides of the border.
