Photos: President Trump Signs Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court Commission

The White House released a pair of photos showing President Donald Trump on Air Force One signing the Supreme Court commission for Brett Kavanaugh Saturday evening. Kavanaugh was confirmed to be the 102nd Associate Justice to the Supreme Court earlier Saturday by a 50-48 vote by the Senate. Trump was flying from Washington, D.C., to Topeka, Kansas, for a campaign rally.

Kavanaugh was formally sworn in Saturday evening at the Supreme Court. A ceremonial swearing-in will be held with President Trump at the White House Monday evening,  7 p.m. EDT.

The confirmation of Kavanaugh, following a brutal smear campaign, capped a triumphant week for Trump that began with the completion of the renegotiation of NAFTA, a successful trip to Africa by First Lady Melania and record low unemployment not seen since 1969 and continuing stock market record highs.
