MAOIST AMERICA: Astronaut Scott Kelly Grovels to Leftist Mob After Torrent of Backlash for Praising Winston Churchill

Former shuttle astronaut Scott Kelly posted a groveling apology after being attacked online by leftists for praising Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister who stood virtually alone against Adolph Hitler in the early days of World War II. Kelly is the identical twin brother of Mark Kelly, also an astronaut. Mark Kelly is married to former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ).

Scott Kelly first posted to Twitter on Sunday, in apparent reference to Republican celebrations of the Senate confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh the day before, “One of the greatest leaders of modern times, Sir Winston Churchill said, “in victory, magnanimity.” I guess those days are over.”

Kelly was attacked by leftist Churchill-haters, prompting Kelly to post hours later, “Did not mean to offend by quoting Churchill. My apologies. I will go and educate myself further on his atrocities, racist views which I do not support. My point was we need to come together as one nation. We are all Americans. That should transcend partisan politics.”

Kelly’s apology brought out Churchill supporters who sought to educate him about the lies being told about Churchill that prompted Kelly’s Maoist Cultural Revolution style self-critical apology.

Christina Hoff Sommers wrote to Kelly, “Please don’t apologize. Winston Churchill, like all of us, had serious human failings. But unlike most of us—he possessed genuine greatness. And that greatness may have saved freedom & democracy. Ask the Twitter scolds to name a hero or heroine who didn’t have serious flaws.”

Many posters echoed Sommers’ comments, but Jon Gabriel nailed the Maoist Cultural Revolution moment for Kelly.
