Gateway Eagle Council XLVII Announces Phyllis Schlafly Eagle Awards to Polish MP Dominik Tarczynski and German MP Petr Bystron

St. Louis, Missouri – On Saturday, September 15th, 2018, The Gateway Pundit and Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Council will present Polish Parliamentarian MP Dominik Tarczynski and German Parliamentarian MP Petr Bystron with 2018 Phyllis Schlafly Eagle Awards. The awards ceremony on Saturday night will celebrate and acknowledge their work on behalf of freedom in Europe.

Dominik Tarczynski was born on March 27, 1979 in Poland. He is a publicist, Catholic activist, Polish politician, and currently a deputy of the ruling political party in Poland. He is a graduate of law from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. In the years 2003-2008, he was an leader of the London Cathedral for the Westminster Cathedral Community. In 2008, after visiting Colombia, he directed a film entitled “Colombia – Testimony for the World,” which in 2011 won the first prize at the XVI International Catholic Film and Multimedia Festival in Niepokalanow, Poland. From 2009 to 2010, he was a director for Polish Public Television. In 2015, he was elected to the Polish Parliament where he serves as a Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the European Union Affairs Committee. He is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on the EU’s trade agreement with the United States of America. In 2018, he became the Vice president of the European Conservatives in the Council of Europe. He is a MP who mainly focuses on international activity, both in terms of politics as well as the media.

Petr Bystron is the Speaker of the Alternative for Germany party (AfD) on the Foreign Policy Committee of the German Bundestag. He was born in Olomouc, former Czechoslovakia in 1972, came to Germany in 1988 as a political refugee and joined the Euro-critical AfD in 2013. He was chair of the AfD for the State of Bavaria 2015-2018. Under his leadership, the party reached the best tally of all states in West Germany in the federal elections 2017. He is a leading political publicist who has won several prizes for his writing, and edited a book for University of Geneva with Polish Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Wałęsa. He is currently one of the 10 most popular German politicians on social media.
