Never letting a good crisis go to waste, friends of Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford have started a GoFundMe page, to pay for, uhh, something, because survivors and racism and Trump and courage, or something. In fact, the page doesn’t really elaborate on what the money will be used for.
The page was launched on September 18th, and has now surpassed $500,000 in donations. Because nothing says equality and justice like regular Joes and Jills giving their money to a rich, privileged doctor who is likely already worth over $1 Million and stands to make bank from a book deal and speaking engagements out of this covfefe.

Christine Blasey Ford demonstrated a huge amount of courage speaking out this week. She did not initially come forward because she was scared of the response. She was right to be scared. Not only has the right wing smear machine started, but she is receiving serious threats against her and has had to engage a security force to protect her family. This is all really expensive and she needs our help. We need to protect the voices of brave people who speak out – especially when they are part of our community.
Christine is Palo Alto mom, a beloved professor and mentor and friend. This fundraiser is sponsored by her neighbors and colleagues. She is truly grateful for your support!
Please note that we will not withdraw any of these funds. The family has been named the sole beneficiary and her husband will take the funds directly from GoFundMe.

New update – Dr. Ford has agreed to testify this week. We are going to find out what additional expenses will need to be covered and explain here. Then new donors can decide whether to make donations to cover these additional expenses. Previous donations will go towards security. New donations will go towards security and other expenses determined by the family. We will close the campaign when we have raised enough to cover these expenses.
