Alex Jones Responds to Twitter Permanently Banning Him and Infowars (VIDEO)

On Thursday afternoon, Alex Jones responded to Twitter permanently banning him and Infowars.

“I was taken down not because we lie, but because we tell the truth — and because we were popular,” Jones began. “And because we dared to go to that committee hearing and stand up to Rubio and stand up to the lies of mainstream media and speak the truth.”

He referred to Oliver Darcy as the “Secret Police Captain.”

The censorship comes one day after Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey appeared before Congress and Senate to address the issue of bias against conservatives on his platform.

Twitter has claimed that the reason for the Infowars ban was a heated confrontation between Jones and CNN reporter Oliver Darcy that was Periscoped live on Twitter from one of Wednesday’s hearings. Watson, who lives in the UK, was not present during the confrontation.

“The fact that Alex Jones has been banned for ‘targeted harassment’ for a video in which he had a forthright but ultimately peaceful exchange of views with a CNN reporter is ludicrous,” Infowars reporter Paul Joseph Watson told the Gateway Pundit. “This is clearly corporate media working in cahoots with Big Tech to silence its competition once again.”
