1984: Apple Removes Infowars From App Store – Decides People Do Not Have Right to View or Listen to Infowars

Apple has just joined the mob of Big Tech thought police who have determined that people do not have the right to listen to Infowars on the internet.

The removal of Infowars from the App Store comes just one day after Twitter banned the outlet and it’s founder Alex Jones for confronting CNN’s Oliver Darcy about his desire for them to be silenced.

On Friday evening, Apple removed the Infowars app citing their “App Store Review Guidelines,” according to Buzzfeed. The guidelines prohibit content that is “defamatory, discriminatory, or mean-spirited” which includes references to or commentary about “religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, national/ethnic origin, or other targeted groups.”

Infowars has been the target of a mob of liberal activist-journalists who have been reaching out to tech companies that host their content and inquiring about why they haven’t deplatformed them — clearly implying there will be negative press coverage if they do not.

This coordinated campaign from the mainstream media bullies lead to Infowars being banned from Facebook, YouTube, Spotify and Twitter. Apple had removed the Infowars podcast in August, but allowed the separate app to remain. Once Jones was deplatformed by the outlets, the app skyrocketed, surpassing CNN.

Unfortunately, it seems that CNN has been victorious in eliminating their biggest alternative media competition.

Mainstream media is dying and they know it. Silencing their critics won’t change that.
