On Saturday, President Trump lashed out at Michael Cohen for taping a private conversation between them and said it was probably illegal.
The FBI seized the recording during a pre-dawn raid of Michael Cohen’s home and office earlier this year.
Trump did not mention Michael Cohen by name, but he was referring to a New York Times report about a September 2016 phone call Trump had with his lawyer about a payment he made to Playboy model Karen McDougal.
Rudolph W. Giuliani, Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, confirmed in a telephone conversation on Friday that Mr. Trump had discussed payments to Ms. McDougal with Mr. Cohen in person on the recording. He said that it was less than two minutes long and that Mr. Trump did not know he was being recorded, and he claimed that the president had done nothing wrong.
Karen McDougal claims she had a year-long affair with Donald Trump in 2006.
McDougal sold her story to the National Inquirer for $150,000 but the tabloid, favoring Trump, didn’t run the story – a practice known as “catch-and-kill.”
Trump lashed out at Cohen and the corrupt government for raiding his lawyer’s home and office.
Trump tweeted: Inconceivable that the government would break into a lawyer’s office (early in the morning) – almost unheard of. Even more inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client – totally unheard of & perhaps illegal. The good news is that your favorite President did nothing wrong!

The Deep State and Democrats are desperate to pin any type of ‘hush payment’ Trump may have made to a woman as a campaign finance violation.
Michael Cohen also made a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in the weeks leading up to the election, which the FBI is also investigating.
Meanwhile, as many as 40 state Democrat parties are implicated in a large scheme to circumvent campaign finance laws in order to illegally funnel $84 million to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and there is no FBI investigation into the DNC.
