Maryland Democrat Airs First Campaign Ad Ever with Same-Sex Kiss to ‘Piss Off’ Trump, Republicans

Richard Madeleno, a Democratic candidate in Maryland’s gubernatorial race, aired the first political TV campaign ad featuring a same sex kiss to “infuriate” President Trump.

Madaleno touts ways he has stood against the president as a state senator in Maryland and pledges to continue to “stand up to” the Commander-in-Chief, in an ad that aired Thursday morning during “Fox and Friends.”

“I’m running for governor to deliver progressive results and to stand up to Donald Trump. Here are a few of the things that I’ve don’t that already infuriate him,” Madaleno says in the ad.

He then brags about how he “protected Planned Parenthood from Republicans in Congress” and co-sponsored a bill in Maryland that banned assault weapons in the state.

“Take that NRA,” interjects a boy holding a “Stop Gun Violence Now.”

“And what’s the No. 1 way I piss off Donald Trump and the Republicans?” Madaleno asks, sitting alongside two smiling teenagers, before he kisses his husband Mark Hodge on the lips. .

“Take that, Trump,” Madaleno declares after the kiss.

The ad, designed to irritate Trump’s conservative base, will air across the state of Maryland, coinciding with LGBT pride month.
