At least one person is dead and several were injured on Saturday evening in a stabbing near the Place de l’Opéra in Paris.

The suspect was shot dead.
He was an Islamist — Screaming, “Allahu Akbar!”

The assailant shouted ‘Allahu Akhbar’ (Arabic for God is great) as he lunged at pedestrians, witnesses said. Two of the injured were in serious condition, according to BFM TV.
Tonight ISIS took credit for the deadly attack.
